About our courses
The Somerset Wellbeing and Learning Community offers opportunities to learn about mental health and recovery by providing a unique curriculum designed to increase your knowledge, understanding and skills to equip you with the tools to live a meaningful, productive and fulfilling life.
Our courses are split into three types:
The continuing presence of hope, and the possibility to pursue personal goals and ambitions.
- Hope is the catalyst of the Recovery process – Repper, Perkins, Rinaldi and Brown
- Once you choose HOPE anything is possible – Christopher Reeve
Addressing the need for students to maintain a feeling of control through empowerment and learning new skills.
These courses teach skills for control and self-management to promote personal choice and responsibility in recovery, health and wellbeing.
Having the opportunity to build a life beyond mental illness.
Courses formed around offering students opportunities to experience different approaches to managing mental health and wellbeing, which can complement and enhance traditional treatment and services.

What is Recovery Education?
